Datatopics is a podcast presented by Kevin Missoorten to talk about the fuzzy and misunderstood concepts in the world of data, analytics, and AI and get to the bottom of things.

In this episode, together with guests Berg and Tim, we dive deep into the fascinating world of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).

The AI applications we see today are often referred to as “narrow AI” (ANI), basically excellent at performing one task and one task only. AGI or Strong AI, refers to the hypothetical intelligence of a machine that exhibits the ability to understand, learn, and apply knowledge in a way comparable to a human being.

But how do we define “comparable to a human being”? Which human being? Are there other definitions? How do topics like alignment and singularity come into the picture? How can we contribute to making sure when we reach this state, we are able to harness this capability? Do we need a moratorium?

Tune in to DataTopics to hear our discussion on these topics and more!
